Gift Guide for the Beauty Lover

My husband mentioned to me a couple of weeks ago that courier services are already warning that they may not be able to accommodate the influx of additional packages being shipped during the upcoming holiday season. Between everyone shopping online already due to the pandemic, holiday shoppers are going to bring them to a whole new level of busy. So delivery times may not be as quick as we are used to!

So in turn, I have decided to get a head start on my holiday shopping this year. As much as this beauty gift guide is for you (or the beauty lover in your life), it’s an early list for my husband for ME! Ha!

It’s been a long time since I’ve given myself a proper manicure. Let alone, a designer manicure that involved nail art! A couple of weeks ago I pulled out my nail stamping kit and decided to do a search for some new nail stamp plates to add to my collection. Which then led me down a completely different nail art rabbit hole. Somehow I ended up not only buying new plates but also nail foils and nail stickers!

I decided to start with a nude base and went minimalist with just a few nail stickers. I’m wearing “re-nude” polish by Sally Hansen and purchased the stickers here. And of course I always finish every manicure with Seche Vite fast drying topcoat. It has ALL the chemicals but it will dry your manicure in 60 seconds.

Man…whoever said you can tell a woman’s age by their neck or their hands was not lying. My poor hands look ancient! Oh well, what can you do. At least my mani is cute! I switched up the placement and stickers on my other hand so it wasn’t too matchy matchy.

When I first started my blog, my manicures used to be some of my most popular posts! I’m digging this “designer manicure” and feeling inspired to do my nails like I used to. You can see some of my favorites here, here and here (this is a fun one for Halloween). Are you into nail art???

It’s here! The Shopbop annual Fall sale event! You can save up to 25% off your entire purchase when shopping items marked “THE FALL EVENT” with code FALL20. Some exclusions apply, so please click here for all details. Just fyi, the sale runs through October 17th, 2020 and things sell out quickly! I thought I would share my top five picks to update your Fall wardrobe. Is it just me or does it seem like I just did this post? How is time flying by so quickly? We already carved our pumpkins and I am ready to put up the Christmas decorations! Why not…my days are flying by so quickly that it basically already feels like the holiday season. Anyone else ready for 2021?

MOTHER DENIM HIGH WAISTED RASCAL ANKLE SNIP JEANS

Anyone who knows me, knows Mother Denim jeans are my FAVORITE. The black acid wash finish of these jeans are giving me all the Fall feels. I am still loving this length to wear with my ankle booties or heels. I just ordered these and can not wait for them to arrive!

SAM EDELMAN YARO SUEDE SANDALS

I already have these in this taupe color and a cognac color. They are my FAVE heels. The width of the heel makes them much more comfortable to walk in for hours on end. Well, I used to go places to wear them hours on end. Now I just look at them and dream of the day I will dress up again! BUT, now is the time to snag them. You won’t regret it!

HONEYDEW INTIMATES BLACK LEOPARD LOUNGE SET

I also already own this extremely comfy set in the tie dye print. Lounge sets are the new dressing up for me. So if I’m in matching lounge wear, I am doing great that day! And the price point can’t be beat!

THE BOOK CLUB BLUE BLOCKING GLASSES

I do not currently own blue blocking glasses. But due to the fact that we are all mostly working from home and our kids doing homeschool via zoom, blue blockers are sounding more and more necessary. Do you have a pair yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

AG PRIMA ANKLE JEANS

Who doesn’t love a pair of classic skinnies?!? I’ve been on a major distressed jeans kick so I’m thinking a nice new solid pair with no holes would be a great addition to my wardrobe this year.

Well, it is officially Fall. Even though I am an “endless Summer” kind of gal, I do enjoy Fall fashion. I snapped this picture late last year and then never posted it anywhere because it felt too “busy”. But for some reason, now, I am kinda digging all of the different colors & textures! I purchased these croc print booties on a whim last year. And I’m so glad because croc print booties for fall are all the rage! I thought I would share some of my current faves with you guys as well. Do you have any pieces that you are looking forward to adding to your wardrobe this Fall season?

I don’t know who made up the rule that you aren’t supposed to wear white after Labor Day. But I’ve never followed it! In fact, winter whites are my fave! It has been ridiculously hot lately so jeans have pretty much been out of the question. Coupled with the fact that I have gained close to 10 pounds during quarantine. Jeans are the last thing I reach for. BUT, every so often, I decide to wear “real” clothes. This was one of those days.

You guys probably know by now that I love me a graphic tee. My brother & SIL got me this tee for my birthday from one of my fave local shops called Pigment. They have THE cutest gifts, home items, clothes & more.

And since I love poppies and even planted them all over our property this Spring, this tee was pretty much made for me!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably heard me saying…if it doesn’t have an elastic waistband, I don’t want it. Living the quarantine life has me only buying comfy clothes that I can wear around the house. So I thought I would round up a few of my favorite graphic tees. I used to dress them up with a blazer and heels. Now it’s workout shorts and band tees. LOL. I’m hoping one day I will dress up again!
