Apparently we’ve got another big storm coming our way and are expecting a lot of wind/rain. Thankfully we just got back from a quick trip to the desert so I got a little taste of sunshine and warm weather to tide me over! It was just what the doctor ordered.

P.S. This dress is one of my absolute fave pieces from cabi’s Spring 2017 collection. Drop waist flounce hems are the cutest!

We live in a very rural part of town and as most of you know, I take all of my own photos at home. And thank goodness because I gotta tell ya…taking photos of myself out in public is just mortifying to me. I try to tell myself…”Oh, you will never see those people again”…but I pretty much live in the same area that I grew up in…so odds are…someone would see me. So THANK GOODNESS I get to take my pics at home! On this particular day I was taking pics and all of the sudden my dogs and a dog I do not know started running toward me (and my tripod/camera) at full speed. I wasn’t sure if the dog was friendly so I had to make a split decision to save my camera or possibly get my knee blown out by a pack of dogs!!! Thank goodness the dog was friendly but my photo session was over and I spent the next hour tracking down the dog’s owner. All’s well that ends well!

I think I will always be a “dress” girl. I feel most comfortable in a dress…whether it’s going out for a night on the town with my hubby or to brunch with the girls. Who am I kidding…we only get together for birthdays these days…but if I DID go to brunch more often…it would be in a dress. LOL. You wouldn’t know it from my most recent posts but I really do love dresses.

P.S. I have totally been slacking on updating my “Shop with Me” page, but I finally uploaded my February Favorites. You can check them out here.

You can never go wrong with a great pair of jeans and a classic blazer. I’ve worn a similar look several times on the blog but this blazer has a trick up its sleeve (pardon the pun). The striped cuffs are removable! So you can go from girl on the go to office ready in seconds! I personally LOVE the stripes because it gives the illusion that you’ve layered like a pro. And who doesn’t love a two-for-one piece? #amirightladies

Is it Spring yet?!? I’ve definitely noticed that the nights are staying lighter for longer…THANK GOODNESS. Nope…I just checked…not until March 20th. We’ve got a ways to go, my friends. It sure felt like Spring today and I am not complaining. Also not complaining that off the shoulder everything is sticking around for 2017! I LOVE this feminine trend!
