I’m back with an exciting new collaboration! If you guessed adidas, you are correct! And it couldn’t come at a better time, if I’m being honest. I will be turning 49 in 9 days. Recently, I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT change in my body composition. Combine that with increasing perimenopause symptoms and well, it looks like your girl is going to have to start making some changes to her diet & (lack of) exercise routine.

So when I was offered the chance to join the adidas blogger community, I took that as a sign! It was just the motivation I needed to start working on a new fitness plan. I don’t know about you but, a cute new workout outfit doesn’t hurt either.

This track jacket is from the adidas x Farm Rio collection. The colors & print are SO Farm Rio. And SO ME! There are also matching track pants and shorts but I went with the matching adidas slides! I’ve always been a matchy matchy gal, after all.

If you’re more of a solids (not prints) kinda gal, you can check out some of the classic women’s tracksuits as well.

For me, the hardest part is going to be changing my diet. So I am starting with movement. Now that it is almost Summer and we have more daylight hours, I am thoroughly enjoying spending more time outdoors. I also just got a treadmill! I dusted off my apple watch and am now paying more attention to my daily steps. Wish me luck! Oh and if you have any tips/tricks for surviving menopause…I’d love to hear from you!

When it comes to fashion, finding brands that truly capture your style and reflect your unique personality can be quite the challenge. That’s why I’m thrilled to introduce you to two of my absolute favorites: Lover and Friends and For Love & Lemons, both available at Revolve.

Lover and Friends and For Love & Lemons are both known for their feminine designs. If you are a girlie girl like me who loves feminine pieces, you are sure to find something you love!

In the first look, I am wearing the Lazo Midi Dress by Lovers & Friends in the color blood orange. It is also available in hot pink and lilac purple. It also now comes in a mini version here.

Next up is this super adorable faux wrap Natalia Skort by For Love & Lemons! Anyone remember skorts from the 80’s? Or was it the 90’s? Either way…I am still a fan. I am obsessed with lemon printed anything so as soon as I saw this, it immediately went in my cart! There is also a matching crop top but I can’t do short AND cropped at the same time. So I paired it with this one shoulder mock turtleneck (also available in black). It will be a great staple that I can carry into the fall months with some light layering.

Lastly, I fell in love with this fun & flirty cut-out dress by Lovers & Friends. It looks like it’s two pieces but it’s really one. Amazing how that little piece of material on the side makes me comfortable enough to *almost* wear a crop top! This dress is very well made and the material is quite thick which I appreciate. I paired it with gladiator sandals (yep, they’re back) and one of my favorite sun hats.

P.S. You can shop all of my Revolve Favorites here. I update them often!

Easter Treats

Elevate your Easter brunch with these easy to make Easter treats! I don’t know about you guys but we are usually pretty casual on Easter and like to stay home to celebrate. My son is now twelve but he still looks forward to waking up early to see what the Easter bunny brought him. Heck, I’m 47 and still want my mom to bring me a basket!

tea sandwiches and pink deviled eggs

This year, I thought I would fancy things up with a few fun finger foods. Instead of plain tea sandwiches, I used my Easter cookie cutters to cut them into bunny shapes. My mom and I had cream cheese & cucumber sandwiches when we went to High Tea at The Tea House on Los Rios in San Juan Capistrano. If you are local, I highly recommend it. But I digress. My point is, they are easy & delicious.

But what I like even more than the sandwiches, are the pink deviled eggs! I love pink anything and these turned out so pretty! Simply add a couple of drops of gel food coloring into a cup of water and let the eggs sit for about 3-5 minutes to get your desired color. FYI, you soak them after you’ve sliced them and removed the yolk. I used some of the egg yolks to make egg salad sandwiches also.

mini Funfetti donuts

Next up are these mini Funfetti donuts! I bought a Dash mini donut maker a while back and forgot I had it to be honest. But then on a recent trip to Target, I came across a box of Funfetti cake donut mix. It comes with the glaze too. They turned out so soft & delicious.

Egg Crate Easter Basket Idea

I am also going to make everyone a little egg crate filled with Easter treats. I found the egg crates on Amazon. Such a cute alternative to a traditional basket! Thank goodness for Pinterest. I save ideas year round for all of my favorite holidays. You can follow me on Pinterest here.

Do you have any favorite fun & easy Easter treats that you make every year? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!

rainbow cake

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day so I thought I would share a few quick and easy St. Patty’s Day treats I’ve made recently. I’ve never made a leprechaun trap (shocker, I know) but I’ve definitely made my share of rainbow desserts. I think I’ve eaten more food coloring this month, than in all of 2022! So if you are here, just know that I am not a healthy dessert kinda gal.

First up is my rainbow cake. I bought this mini layer cake pan set a few years ago and it is the only way I like to make my cakes now! I’ve made several ombre cakes over the years but rainbow cake is by far my favorite. The trick is to use gel food coloring to achieve the super vibrant colors. It doesn’t take much either.

shamrock shake dupe

Next up is my version of the Shamrock Shake. I don’t love mint flavor drinks so I cheated and just used vanilla ice cream with green gel food coloring. I guess I could have used mint & chip ice cream, which I do like. But then the chips wouldn’t have matched. Ha! I dipped my mug in honey and rolled the edges with rainbow confetti sprinkles, topped with whipped cream (& sprinkles and of course), and added a licorice straw. I love getting rainbow licorice every year for all of my St. Patty’s Day treats!

breakable lucky charm heart

You probably know by now that I LOVE making breakable hearts for every occasion. It’s just such a fun way to present someone with a little surprise. For my brother’s 40th, I made him one and put lottery tickets and chocolates inside. This one had rainbow licorice (of course!), gold chocolate coins and the cutest lucky care bear pez dispenser. You can see it here. To make your own, you can buy the entire kit here. The candy melts come in every color of the rainbow. I usually buy mine at Michael’s.

leprechaun bark

Leprechaun bark was a new one for me. My Ghirardelli dark chocolate nutella hearts (seen here), were a favorite in our household. This time I melted the dark chocolate bits on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Then I immediately topped with rainbow licorice bites, marshmallows and rainbow sour strips. Lastly, I drizzled some melted green candy bits on top. Refrigerate for ten minutes and then break into pieces. Oh, I also made some matching green candy hearts with the leftover candy melts from the drizzle. Super easy and super YUM.

This or That

It is Superbowl Sunday and since I’m not much into football, I am posting a game of “this or that” on my Instagram stories. I felt like some of my friends might need something to do while their spouse is watching the game. So I may as well post here also! I have every one of these dresses saved in my Revolve favorites. I might even already own one or two. Brownie points if you can guess which ones!
