I’ve never been one for New Years resolutions. It somehow feels like setting myself up for failure. Instead, I’ve decided to create a list of 101 things I’d like to do/accomplish in 1001 days (thank you Kara for the inspiration) which seems more attainable for some reason. Some things are easy (I’ve already done #72, #83, #91) and others seem impossible (see #20, #42 and #82). I definitely want 2017 to be the year of organizing and de-cluttering my life. BTW, my husband surprised me with the book “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” and I’m not sure if I should be flattered that he knows me so well (I almost bought it for myself a year ago) or annoyed at the not-so-subtle hint. LOL!!! Anywho…you can check out my list below:

Last week I attended cabi Scoop for the 2nd time…right here in my hometown of San Diego! Which is exciting enough in itself but this year I also got to record the intro for the runway fashion show broadcast (you can check it out here and use password BonjourS17 to view it)! As I mentioned in my last post, cabi stylists from across the country come together for a weekend of training, fashion & fun (oh, and let’s not forget shopping)! It is such an amazing experience and every time I attend a cabi event, I leave feeling empowered and inspired. These women definitely know how to have a good time! For anyone new here, you can also check out this post to learn more about cabi or visit their website at cabionline.com. And now for a few of the highlights from my day:

As soon as I got to the event, I was whisked away for hair & makeup before filming the runway fashion show intro.

After I was done filming, I met up with one of my favorite blogger buds Nikki to shop the vintage cabi sale and we grabbed a quick lunch at Lou & Mickey’s. And of course we had to stop for #ootd pics! My outfit is from the cabi Fall collection.

Then it was off to the fashion show, where underneath every one of our seats (over 3,500 of us!) was a little box with a Sofia Mini Blanc de Blanc can (in signature pink, of course!) to toast/kick off the show!

The castaway dress is just one of my favorite pieces from the Spring 2017 collection. You can view the full collection here.

There is nothing more fun than a confetti party complete with falling pink & white balloons! Check out that crowd behind me…I felt like a superstar in the front row!

Cabi fashion shows are THE best! The energy is contagious, the women are SO supportive & uplifting and the clothes are FABULOUS! A HUGE thank you to cabi for including me in this special event. I can NOT wait for next year!

I was first introduced to cabi back in early 2012 when I was invited to attend their huge bi-annual event called “The Scoop”. Twice a year, the cabi girls (cabi consultants) and the whole cabi team come together for a weekend of fashion, training & fun. But most exciting is the official unveiling of the upcoming season’s collection! I’ve been to several local fashion shows and I’ve got to tell you that NOTHING compares to the energy & excitement of a cabi fashion show! This year, I am so excited to share that I will once again be attending and will be covering the event on my social media channels so be sure to follow along on the fun (#cabiscoop)! Oh…but there’s more! Now YOU can get a virtual front row seat to the cabi Spring 2017 fashion show (to be broadcast on Jan 13th) simply by registering here! In the meantime, you can get a sneak peek of the cabi Spring 2017 collection here.

b-low-the-belt olivaceous-printed-skirt indah-bodysuit forever-21-faux-fur-jacket

I bought this jacket on a whim and I’m so glad I did. It’s so comfy and I’ve actually worn it out on several occasions over the holiday season! Sadly it is sold out…I hate when that happens…but Forever 21 does bring popular items back so be sure and check their back in stock section if you love it too! I swear it’s been the coldest Winter we’ve had in years. And we are expecting four more consecutive days of rain! Is Winter over yet? Oh wait, it’s only just begun. =)

SMD Cosmetics

I have a confession to make. I am OBSESSED with anti-aging products. Unfortunately for me, I grew up using tanning beds at a very early age. I actually had to force BEG my mom to sign off to allow me to go into the tanning beds before the age of 18. To make matters worse, I would go in for a full 30 minutes and then go into the face tanner after that!!! Around the age of 25 I started to notice how badly my skin was damaged and have been trying to reverse the damage ever since! So when a friend of mine introduced me to SMD Cosmetics, I could not wait to give it a try! SMD Cosmetics is a Korean Skincare line that uses herbs and natural ingredients instead of harsh chemicals to exfoliate, hydrate and regenerate your skin. I was MOST excited to try their Snail Serum. YES, SNAIL SERUM. Don’t worry though…it does not harm snails and no snails are in the cream. LOL. For the past thirty + days I have continued to use my usual Dove Beauty Bar to cleanse (Gasp! I know…bar soap…but it works for me!) followed by SMD Cosmetics Inhyunjin Essence Age Defining Serum and then the Saromae Quintessential Snail Serum Concentrate. The hugest change I’ve noticed is the actual brightening of my overall skin tone. And definitely less flaky dry skin! My skin is usually way drier in the winter because I am always in the house next to a roaring fire or have the heater going. But I truly believe that the combination of these two products has helped keep my skin moisturized. I use the Inhyunjin Essence in the evening and in the daytime and the Saromae Snail Serum only at night. The Essence absorbs immediately and does not interfere with my makeup application at all. I never took before photos but I did share a pic of me (below) with zero makeup and only my SMD Cosmetics products on my face right before bedtime. Have any of you tried a snail serum yet? If not, I highly recommend this one!

P.S. For anyone wondering what an “Essence” is…I would say it is like a serum (with all of those wonderful anti-aging ingredients) but it is a much lighter formula so as I mentioned above you can wear it day and night!
