As most of you know, I’ve been taking my own pics with a tripod & remote since the beginning. I’d like to think my pic quality has improved over the years. Anyone remember when the pics were always on my front porch? LOL. But there is one thing that has always been consistent and that is how I edit my images. I LOVE light & bright airy photos that show true colors. And mostly…light & bright is much friendlier to my 43 year old self. But today I decided to try something a little different.

BTW, I STILL (respectfully) disagree with every single photographer that says cloudy days are better to shoot. I will never agree that it provides one big lightbox! Ha! It provides harsh lighting and shadows on me. BUT, with a few clicks in Lightroom…these photos look like they were taken on a cloudy day. What do you guys think? Do you like the light and bright pics or are you a fan of this darker style? I think this darker edit is kinda growing on me!

By the way, as soon as I put this outfit on…I knew my husband would not be a fan. But we all know that doesn’t change a thing! HA! The number one request I keep hearing from you guys over and over is… “What boots are in style for Fall 2018”? So my friends…here are the top three trends for Fall IMHO. Slouchy boots, western style boots and moto boots. All of these styles have a special place in my heart because I’ve worn them all before! In the 90’s I had a pair of Dr. Martens Mary Jane’s as well as the “western style” booties, although we called them “boot shoes” back then! Then in my early 30’s, I splurged on a pair of slouchy suede Michael Kors boots. I already have these boots and am currently deciding between buying these or these! Oh, and don’t worry…our OTK boots from last season are still on trend.

So what do you think? Are you buying into any of these trends?

Today I’ve got two new Joseph A. pieces to share with you. And both are something new for me too! I don’t know if I own anything (or ever have for that matter) that was chenille! Fall is officially upon us in two days. TWO DAYS. It’s still in the high 70’s where I live but the mornings and evenings are DEFINITELY much cooler now. We’ve arrived at the “I’m freezing…now I’m sweating…eek…now it’s cold again” weather. I even picked up pumpkin spice flavored coffee…but I’m not allowing myself to use it for two more days!
