I took these pics a few weeks ago and I’m so glad I did because I spent the whole weekend in & out of a Nyquil coma. I finally caught one of eeps colds and there was no way I was taking any outfit pics this weekend! It did give me some time to finish up my December Birchbox review (see here) and do a little laundry but that was about it! At least we are getting it out of the way before Christmas!

I’ve been dying to find the perfect sweater dress for months now so when I came across  this one on a recent spur of the moment Marshall’s trip, I knew it was coming home with me. Especially with its less than $40 price tag! Oh, and not to freak you out or anything but THIS is the last weekend to shop before Christmas! Somehow Amazon had me believin’ that I was pretty much done with my xmas shopping. But the only person I’m done with his eep! He is the easiest (and most fun) kid to shop for! Hope you guys are doing better than I am with checking things off your list! Have a great (and productive!) weekend!

December Fabletics

Fabletics Gold Triangle Sweatshirt

Fabletics Salar Capris

Fabletics Gold Triangle Sweatshirt

I’ve been asked a few times by friends/acquaintances  if I REALLY like Fabletics?!? And the answer is YES! In fact…Laura (from Bombshell)…if you’re reading…I know I recommended the “Lima Capris” but these are the “Salar Capris” and I LOVE them just as much! I was trying to figure out what the difference between the two was and the only real difference I can tell is that the Salar Capris are “maximum compression” whereas the Lima Capris are “medium compression”?!? They both seem to fit the same (on me at least). The Limas have an extra little stitch detailing on the back below the waistline which I find to be flattering on. As for this sweatshirt, I could tell that it was going to run small so I went up a size and ordered a medium. Have YOU joined Fabletics yet?!?

Hair Extensions

I’ve been wearing my hair short for over a year now, but over the summer I went from a long bob (lob) to an ever shorter more extreme a-line cut (seen here).  As much as I loved having a “hairstyle”, I did miss being able to pull my hair into a ponytail! So I decided to grow my hair out. But as you guys know, this in-between length has been driving me crazy! I’ve had tape-in extensions just on my sides of my hair  before (for fullness) but this time I went for the whole shebang! The first pic is of my hair before (don’t mind the lovely kink from my hair being up in a clip), during and after. I had quite a blunt cut so we added just the tiniest bit of layering to the back so that it would blend better with the extensions.

And here it is curled. The first and second day I felt like I had a sign on my forehead that said, “I HAVE EXTENSIONS”! But so far everyone is impressed by not only how well they blend but how perfectly the color matches! For anyone interested, we used three boxes of hair and mixed two colors (butterscotch and cocoa twist). If you live locally, I HIGHLY recommend my hairdresser Alisa from Bombshell 101 in Encinitas. She’s not only one of my best friends of 20+ years, but the only person I trust with my hair!
