Headlines The Spa Facials

I have a new obsession…FACIALS. Believe it or not, I just had my first facial in close to ten years! You would think someone as skincare obsessed as me that I would go ALL THE TIME. I’m not sure what took me so long other than my last experience was a little clinical with extractions, etc. but Kimberly from Headlines has a new regular customer. Seriously….if you are local…you NEED to see her ASAP. I went into it letting her know that I am completely happy with my current cleansing routine (dove beauty bar for sensitive skin…no really) but need all the help I can get in the reversing signs of aging/anti-aging department. We started off with a consultation and I let her know my main concerns (under eye crepey-ness, loss of elasticity in my neck area/jowls and redness). Then she decided that the Vital Defense facial would work best for  me. This facial is specifically designed to prevent visible premature aging, to combat environmental stresses combined with antioxidant treatments to brings dull, distressed skin back to life! YES, YES, YES! Not only was the facial ALL KINDS OF AMAZING, all hour facials include a scalp massage and a foot massage!!! Are you kidding me…how did she know that I LOVE foot massages (after she finishes your face…obvi…lol)?!? I literally left the place glowing AND relaxed.

Additional info for my local friends: All of Kimberly’s facial are “European Facials” using Yon-Ka products. Facials start at $100 and are customized to meet each individuals needs based on their consultations. Also, stay tuned as I will be reviewing the Yon-Ka products I am using in a separate post. You can reach Kimberly at the Headlines Salon (& Spa) at 760-436-1812. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Disclosure: Kimberly offered me this facial gratis as she is building her clientele since she relocated from Dallas. Yes, I totally asked if she knew Courtney Kerr. =) But I could honestly not be happier with her and plan on telling everyone I know about my awesome facial.

First of all, you crack me up. Secondly, you sound just like how I felt after having a facial using Yonka products, lol! I’ve used them on and off for years and still love them (I have sensitive skin and apparently the line was originally created for people with severe burns). It’ll be interesting to hear your opinion.

I LOVE facials! 10 years is too long. I do one at home at least once a week and a professional one once every 6 months. Welcome to the obsession!

I wish I trusted anyone else enough to get another facial. My skin is so sensitive, which the esthetician knew, that I left there with bright red blotches all over my cheeks for days. Unfortunately I don’t live in California, but maybe I’ll start looking at salon reviews in my area and give it another try – the winter out in the Midwest has been BRUTAL, and my skin proves it!
