Best of 2013

As another year of blogging comes to a close, I decided to share some of my (and readers) favorite outfit posts from 2013.

best of 2013

Ruffle Blouse & Shorts (see full post here): It was definitely the YEAR of the shorts for me…whether they be denim, high-wasited or faux leather…you name it, I wore it. You would never know that just a few short years ago (ha ha, pardon the pun), I was not a big fan of shorts.  Moto Jacket & Lace Pencil Skirt (see full post here): I bought this jacket a few years ago and only just started wearing it this year. I tend to do that often…buy things and then not wear them forever. The Up-Do (see full post here): Unfortunately, I have not been able to re-create this up-do as well as the first time! But this post inspires me to continue to try. For some reason my up-do’s always look best when I am just randomly pulling my hair up.

Cut-Out Maxi Dress (see full post here): Oh, how I LOVE this dress! Definitely one of my most fave dresses of all time. Can’t wait to wear it again! Romper (see full post here): I went from loathing rompers to loving them this year. This one in particular might even be one of the most worn items in my closet this year if you can believe that! It can be worn casually yet is so easy to dress up too!

Nautical Trend (see full post here): Ahhh, such a classic. This outfit reminds me of being on a yacht in Miami for my Crocs video shoot! One of the most terrifying yet memorable times of my life! Colorblocking Trend (see full post here): I had a MAJOR colorblocking moment this year. This was one of my fave looks. Crop Top & Midi Skirt (see full post here): This year I gave cropped tops a try and decided that they are NOT for me! I was totally uncomfortable…even in this flowy one! But I still loved how it looked in pics.

READER FAVES – Faux Leather Pants & Ruffle Collar Blouse (see full post here): This was one of those outfits that I was just “meh” about. So naturally it was a reader fave and actually won first place in the JustFab fashion challenge!  Ruffle Sweater & Booties (see full post here): Whenever I am not sure about an outfit, it always ends up getting the most comments. I REALLY thought this was a little vanilla and then it ended up being one of my most pinned looks of all time. Go figure.

MY PERSONAL FAVES: Colorblock Sweater & Flounce Skirt (see full post here): I was also ALL ABOUT the flounce skirt this year. It replaced my love affair with drop-waist dresses. I have several of them. And come to think of it, this skirt probably tied with the black romper for most worn item in my closet this year. Multi-Color Maxi Dress (see full post here): I am in LOVE with the colors in this dress. I feel so Mrs. Roper chic in it. =) And last but not least, the black Romper AGAIN (see full post here): So glad I gave rompers another try!

WHICH ONE IS YOUR FAVORITE???

P.S. HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY TO MY MOM!!! I LOVE YOU AND CAN’T WAIT TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU!!! XOXO

Aww, happy birthday to your mama! I laughed when I read about the reader faves – so many times when I don’t love an outfit, it ends up being the most popular too LOL!

    Happy New Year! 🙂
