Covet Header

Have you heard of Covet yet? I first heard about it when I attended LuckyFABB back in April. They were at the conference, but sadly I didn’t have time to check out their booth. Um…I am totally KICKING myself now. All I can think about is how much bigger my virtual closet would be right now!!! Let me explain…

Covet

First, I must preface this with the fact that I am NOT a gamer. Like, at all. Well, except for that one time when I MADE my hubby buy me a Wii right before Christmas a few years ago so I could play Just Dance. OMG. After I played my moms Xbox 360 dance game…who wants to hold a lame remote in your hand? But I digress. I am OBSESSED with Covet. Covet Fashion is a free “styling” game that you can download to your iphone, itouch or ipad (android coming soon). Here’s how to play:

1. Shop! You start off with a $4000 virtual cash balance to shop thousands of clothes & accessories from brands you know & love…BCBG, Rachel Zoe, Twenty and Rebecca Minkoff…to name a few.

2. Use your daily allowance tickets to enter events (styling challenges) to win virtual cash & prizes (if you win).

3. Earn more tickets by voting on others looks.

4. Shopping increases your closet value and people voting on your looks increases or decreases your style score.

5. Connect your Covet account to your Facebook account to be able to compare style scores with your friends!

Oh! And I should also mention that you get to choose from several different hair styles & colors, skin tones and makeup too when you are creating your looks!

Covet App

These are just a few of the looks that I’ve created. The events can be situational or themed. For example these were (clockwise): “Lunch with girlfriends”, “Sunday Brunch”, “Wear a Loafer” and “Tantalizing Tan”. For the most part, you have to get a 4 star rating to earn the prizes. But the prizes also increase your “Closet Value”. Occasionally Covet also has events where the top rated Coveter will win a REAL prize…how awesome is that??? Plus, everything you can purchase for your virtual closet can also be purchased in real life! Just click the “buy online” tab and you will be redirected to the brands website. I never would have imagined that I’d be using a “styling game” to get outfit inspiration! Plus, it’s so exciting to see how your looks do and to find out if you’ve won the coveted prize!

Rachel Zoe Covet

And if my review doesn’t convince you that you NEED to be playing too…um, Rachel Zoe is their Brand Ambassador. You know it’s bananas if she has her name on it! Download the Covet app here. I promise you will be addicted.

You can also find Covet on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest & Instagram.

I haven’t heard of this but I may have to give it a go! It’s like a more interactive form of Pinterest!

Oh no… the game might be free, but I sense that my real life wallet would feel the pain!!!
