StriVectin SD Review

Selfie

When Birchbox first started, I signed up to be a Birchblogger. One of the perks of being a Birchblogger is that I occasionally get to review beauty products. As you know by now, I am obsessed with anything & everything anti-aging. I’d heard of Stri-Vectin products for years but had yet to try it. So of course, I accepted. I’ve been using StriVectin-SD for a little over two weeks now which is the minimum time you can expect to see a difference. First of all, I have to tell you that my husband UNSOLICITED has told me twice in the last week that my bags look a lot better. I know that it says that it decreases fine lines & wrinkles, but where I’ve seen the biggest difference is in the hollow’s under my eyes. I guess that would include my dark circles but I have definitely seen an all around improvement in my under eye area.

Unrelated but maybe totally related…when I was in LA for LuckyFABB, I forgot my face soap. AGAIN. I had no choice but to use Kimberly’s Dove soap. I was a little skeptical at first and also terrified that my face was going to flare up. But to my surprise…my face has NEVER looked better.  I am literally shocked every morning when I look in the mirror and NO zits?!?! WTH?!?! I went from having at LEAST one zit on my face at all times to now I have had maybe three since making the switch. DOVE SOAP people. Do you know how many trips I have made to the dermatologist begging for help? So THIS is what it feels like to not be uncomfortable & embarrassed about the HUGE zit on your face every day?!? Just had to share the news in case any of you are also going through the “I’m pushing 40 yet have worse acne than I did as a teen” experience.

So maybe it is the combination of both but I am ecstatic with the results. And I’ve decided that I WILL be purchasing StriVectin-SD again. With all of the money I am saving on my 876765764574 face washes.

*Disclaimer-I am a paying Birchbox customer. But I did receive StriVectin-SD free of charge for reviewing purposes. As always, opinions are my own.

Wow!! Dove soap? Who would’ve thought? I will be 40 this year and I am still so oily, it’s as if I wash my face with lard. LOL I have most recently been using the Neutrogena pink grapefruit cleanser which I do like, but I still have at least one zit all the time. 🙁 I use a glycolic acid to help with skin renewal. I may have to try the Dove too, but I am afraid…….. 🙂

I am going to order some right now! I’m in my 20s but I have under-eye circles/bags/darkness and little lines. Thanks for sharing the review!

What type of Dove soap did you use? I feel like my skin is getting worse with age so I’ll try anything.

First off, please tell me you photoshopped the heck out of that eyeball shot, cuz girlfriend, you appear to have porcelain skin and not a bag/dark circle in sight! Lol! So no sympathy for you! Ha!

I did want to mention that I started using Dove Sensitive Skin body soap a few years ago and within a short period of time all of my white bumps/pimples/annoying rough patches disappeared and have never come back! (I especially experienced these symptoms during the summer months after sun exposure and sunscreens). I never considered using it for my face, but I may have to give it a try! 😉

Ha Ha! Well, thank you! I used a filter on instagram but no photoshopping that one! I was in natural sunlight (my BEST friend). And I am telling you…the combination of these two have TOTALLY changed my skin!!! Now I am going to give the body wash a try too! Thanks for the tip. =) ~Jenn
