i’m wearing: jcrew factory boatneck blouse, jcrew factory skinny jean, a-thread apparel necklace, nine west heels (similar), birchbox bracelet and my michael kors watch.

since i am always one to try a trend…really there is pretty much nothing i won’t try…i decided to give the “tone on tone” trend a go. i’m not quite sure how i feel about it just yet. what i do know is that i am not a fan of the cut of these jeans. i have two pair of the jcrew “toothpick” jeans so i was hoping these jcrew factory skinnies would have a similar fit but they don’t. i got suckered into the $29.99 price tag. i chose the most flattering pics but in real life they are bunchy in the crotch and below the bootay. and for the ankle length, i just wish they were a little more fitted. i am going to keep them (pretty sure they were final sale anyway) but i am a little disappointed. also, i totally could have gone down a size in this blouse. it has very long sleeves (and i have long arms) and is a bit boxy. but i forgive it because i love the color so much. dang, i really need to find a good tailor.

I love that you went with greens for the tone on tone, I don’t think I’ve seen that before. It looks awesome. Too bad about the pants, I have some J Crew ones that do the same thing.
