i’m wearing: striped peplum top from kohls, urban outfitters cardigan, paige denim jeans, coach bag, monogrammed necklace c/o bestpersonalizedjewelry.com, michael kors watch, birchbox & nordstrom bracelets and steve madden boots.

is it just me or is something off with this outfit? i’m thinking the boots don’t really match? or maybe it’s just that these are my least favorite pair of jeans i own? or it could be that my hair is straight and now i only like it curled? oh well…what are ya gonna do? i snapped these pics in a hurry before running 86483763874 errands. but back to the boots…i really do love them. thank goodness the reviews all said to go up a half size. i am ALWAYS a size 7 but the 7.5 fits perfect.

The outfit is great but you are right the boots really don´t match. I´m worse. When I see my outfit posts I always think. What were you thinking!!!

LOL You’re so funny. I think you look great. Lately I’ve been relying on reviews a ton for brands that I don’t shop too often, and they’ve really helped.
I thought your boots were Tory Burch – they’re gorgeous.

I love the outfit – I don’t think there’s anything “off” here at all…totally clicking on the link for the top & boots. I’m having the hardest time finding riding boots that aren’t too big in the calf! 🙁

I think you may be right on the boots. Would be better with a solid-color boot, but it still looks so cute. I love navy and yellow together!!

You look cute! I, however, have a hard time wearing blue and yellow together as it’s the color combo of our arch rival in college. Yep, still living thru my college years!

LOVE those boots! Ordered this pair http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1086129/apt-9-tall-boots-women.jsp for my wife to go with a sweater dress, but she wasn’t having any of that because of the two tone, which I really liked!

Hope you got at least 86483763871 of your errands done! lol

I think the outfit is perfect! The stripes on your peplum (a fab combo i might add) dress down the style a bit, making your tall boots a perfect addition.

I think it may be the boots. I think this would be an adorable chilly summer outfit, some some cuffed pants and flats. Love that blue stripes/yellow combo – something I definitely want to recreate!

I always love your monogram necklace and want one for myself! I can’t decide between the 16″ or 18″ chain though. I am getting the medium size, and was wondering what length your chain is and if you recommend that length or would go shorter to show easier. It seems the longer chains get lost in shirts unless you have a very low or open collar. What would you suggest based on your necklace?

    Thanks!

hi patrice! i got the 16″ chain. i personally am a fan of the shorter chains, although sometimes it is nice to have a longer chain for layering. but for everyday use, i would go with shorter. hope that helps!

Perfect outfit. Nothing wrong with anything you are wearing. You just gave me an idea: I have a red peplum top which is a bit cold. Never dawned on me to wear a cardigan with it (how stupid can you get…?)
I wish I had a striped black and white cardigan. Ah… solved it: a black cardigan and a black and white scarf. Thanks for the inspiration.
