i’m wearing: jcrew dress, forever21 striped blazer (similar), h&m clutch, arden b collar necklace and ann taylor parker heels (on sale).

i have had this blazer for probably a year and hadn’t worn it until now. because of it’s length and the fact that is has no closures…i just always felt like it looked like something bea arthur would have worn in the golden girls. so i added the belt and i’m still not sure how i feel about it. i want to love it but for some reason i am stumped. how would you wear it?!?!

I like the way you wore this! I know what you mean about blazers without closures but I think it was a good idea to add the belt. Would love for you to stop by my blog and check out my gift guide!

I love your outfit. I found your blog from a comment you made on Mix and Match’s blog. Great outfit. LOve the neckline on the dress.

I actually love it! But you know I am a sucker for anything striped & I have a slight obsession with blazers. Since it’s a longer length, have you tried wearing it with skinnies (maybe faux leather) and a silk blouse untucked? Also, I am pretty sure I’ll forever be jealous of those Ann Taylor shoes 🙂

It’s a beautiful blazer and I like the way you styled it. I’d wear it as is, with jeans and a tank top or belted, like you did, with a full skirt and a tank or skater-style/full-skirt dress. 🙂

I love everything about this! The belted blazer is super cute. Your style has really encouraged me to try new things. I tend to get in a rut where I just wear the same types of things over and over, but while I was out Black Friday shopping today, I came across this sheer-ish tank (http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?productId=0352_5470_020&catId=cat380157) that I would have normally passed up, but I thought I would try it on just to see, mostly because I liked the print, it was 40% off, and it was something completely different than I’d normally wear. Turns out it was PERFECT and I love it so much. Thanks for posting your outfits for the world to see and get inspired by!

Yeah putting on a belt is one of the best things that happened to this lovely blazer….the yellow dress made it prettier!!!

I really like the blazer, the sleeve length is perfect and it looks slim fitting when belted, I think it definitely benefits from being belted with out it can image it being quite boxy?

I think it would also look great with jeans, love the heels btw!

I really like this outfit! I would probably wear the blazer the same way. I have several longer sweaters that I feel like I have to belt or I look like a box!

    Found on the link up!

The stripes on the blazer are so pretty and would really go with anything! Maybe you could have it altered, a little tighter into the waist to give some shape or shorter, like almost cropped. Then I think it would look better! And I’ve heard that a lot of people get their F21 clothes altered to have an amazing wardrobe!

Definitely think the belt makes the blazer more workable. Love the stripes. Maybe alter it slightly if you don’t want to have to wear it with a belt?
