the september birchbox is full of beauty samples to get you ready (and on trend) for fall. here is what i got:

$25 madewell gift card (for a purchase of $75 or more): i was super excited to get this because i have never shopped there before (gasp…i know). i am thinking of using it to purchase this.

twistband hair ties (in lace print): as i’ve mentioned before, i LOVE these hair ties. i actually had just purchased a whole pack of them from the birchbox store before i even knew one would be in my box!

vasanti brighten up enzymatic face rejuvenator: i have not tried this yet but after reading about it, i am kinda excited to test it out. i am still getting used to my most recent skincare routine and it leaves my skin pretty dry and peeling (that does not sound good but my skin is looking better) so this may just give it the exfoliation it needs.

bvlgari mon jasmin noir perfume: this perfume smelled very masculine to me. i sprayed it on a piece of paper and accidentally caught my hand and could not get rid of the smell all night. sadly, not a fan. =(

wei to go sleep over kit: i have not given this a try yet. it seems fun to use because of the pretty/fun packaging, but i always bring my regular face wash & makeup when i travel so would probably not use this in real life. i do kinda want to try the cc moisturizing tint though.

the brush guard variety pack: i was VERY excited to see these in my box because i had actually tried to purchase them the week before but they were sold out! i totally needed these (click on the link to learn more).

color club nail polish in “put a pin in it”: i am in love with this nail polish. it is a gorgeous rose gold color…perfect for fall! birchbox teamed up with color club to make a collection of nail polishes for all of us nail polish/social media addicts out there. the other polishes are called “tweet me”, “insta-this” and “status update”. i have been known to buy a nail polish or two simply because i like the name. i may end up with all of these.

birchbox is a monthly subscription service that delivers a curated box of luxe beauty samples to you for just $10/mo. birchbox also sells 3, 6 and 12 mo subscriptions which are perfect gifts for that product junkie in your life. join here.

I have a Madewell gift card for that same amount and cannot figure out what to get, so you have to let me know what you end up buying! And now I totally need these brush guards – what a great idea πŸ™‚

I like your box a lot more than mine!

I’ve never seen those brush guards before, but if you travel a lot (like me) they would come in SO handy! Such a great idea! I hope they stock them back up online!

I usually love my birch boxes, but this month was a little disappointing πŸ™ But either way, I’m super excited about the madewell gift card! xo

Looks like Birchbox has stepped it up since the early reviews I read. I may have to subscribe now. Thanks for the review!

Wow, other than the madewell card (which my perfume sample broke on and made stink so badly I threw it away) and the twisty band, my box was COMPLETELY different. I was a little disappointed, but since it was just my first box, I’m going to see what happens. I’m hoping the next is better. I would love to try that brightening cream!

I should have never cancelled this! Looks like it was lacking a bit this month though! But the gift card looks fun!
