every year our small rural community shuts down the main road and the whole neighborhood gets together for a 4th of july parade. then we all walk over to the local fire department and have a big bbq. the first parade i attended was when i was 7mo pregnant with eep and i could NOT wait to walk with him in the parade. this year i convinced my neighbor/bff samantha to walk with me! it was such a fun day!!!

yes, i really wore the headband. poor eep is going to be embarrassed of his mama one day!

thanks for walking with me samantha! i probably wouldn’t have done it without you! =)

decorated tractors, lawnmowers, atv’s!

our local all-volunteer firefighters!

do you remember this guy from last year?

i decorated eep’s stroller and walked backwards for most of the parade so he could see all of the tractors! he is OBSESSED with tractors.

it was such a fun day! a really fun weekend actually…

p.s. i’m wearing: cabi striped blouse c/o cabi, old navy cut-off denim shorts, crocs melbourne loafers c/o crocs (now only $19.99!!!) and a thrifted belt.

Both you ladies look SO cute! Love that you walked backwards for eep – totally something I would have done. This is one of the advantages to living in a small town – looks like you had a lot of fun!! 🙂

You look too cute! I love the headband, the striped top, and the red toms, it’s perfect for the parade! We’ll have a parade in the City as well but man I am thinking to stay in, it’s high 90s all week with 80% humidity.

You are simply just too adorable! This seems like such a fun event and I’m sure eep will never be embarrassed of you-more proud of you that you got him active and involved so young. He’ll grow up, decorate a tractor, and ride in it some year 🙂
    Happy 4th!

Adorable outfit & I LOVE the headband!!! I love how your town is such a close knit community. Just curious – what town in San Diego is this? I never knew there are small towns in San Diego. I live in OC & always looking for cute little places for day visits.
