i’m wearing: old navy denim shorts, old navy gingham camp shirt, fedora was a ross dress for less find (only $7.99), michael kors watch and loafers, various bracelets and marc jacobs aviators.

i think i might finally have enough gingham print blouses in my closet. i’ve got pastel pink & powder blue in a small print. and green and yellow in this larger print. they are SO easy to just throw on and run errands in and are perfect for playdates too. anywho…i bought these shorts in two different sizes. mostly because they were on sale for $15. i couldn’t decide on the size because one pair is a bit tight and the other is a bit loose. but i figured i’ve been dying to DIY a pair to look like this so maybe i will finally get to!

p.s. when my husband saw this hat he said…”i hope this doesn’t mean you are going to start dressing like diane keaton”. he can not stand her. i LOVE her. he said she screams in every movie?!? and now i feel like renting a diane keaton movie.

p.s.s. i was featured on the new san diego style bloggers blog. i hope you’ll stop by and say hello!

Well I like Diane Keaton but one should not dress that way. In your case I canΒ΄t see any similarities. Looking stylish like always πŸ˜€

You look adorable in the hat – I love it!! I only have one gingham shirt and I haven’t ever worn it because every time I pair it with jeans, I feel like Daisy Duke but somehow they look cute on everyone else πŸ™‚

I always have that problem. I never know if I should by the size up that are a little bigger and hope they shrink. Or by the size that fit maybe hope they don’t shrink. I am always at odds with shorts.

As always you look great. Love the DIY shorts project.

Diane Keaton in many of the Woody Allen films was a style icon. Don’t listen to hubby (I am so interested in styles that women love that men often hate!) This outfit is perfect for summer. I saw a gorgeous gingham outfit the other day and was wondering how to incorporate it into my wardrobe, you’ve given me a perfect example here too πŸ™‚

Congratulations on the feature! I love that shirt, and similarly to you I have several gingham shirts all from Old Navy, because like you said $15 you couldn’t pass it up! I do agree the sizing was odd too, my orange and white one is a bit tight… I laughed at the Diane comment your husband made. Her and I have the same exact birthday! And I loved her in the movie, Because I said so! I think that’s the title, she’s the Mom and Mandy Moore is in it.

I LOVE me little gingham too! My fave spot to shop for it is in the boys section at Target! Same price…. I have coral/grey, navy, green and blue and also a chambray one from there. I might have a little problem too πŸ˜‰
I also love fedoras…and my hubby detests them! funny.
