i’m wearing: f21 sheer lime dress (similar), old navy cardigan, anthropologie belt, jcrew necklace bought on ebay, slip that i meant for you to see is vintage, michael kors watch and cole haan sandals (not shown but given to me by my friend jennifer…thanks jz!).

the first words out of my husband’s mouth when he saw me in this outfit were…you look like a lime. so yeah, i probably went a little TOO matchy matchy…lol. i fell in love with this dress as soon as i saw it. mostly for the color. it is totally sheer with the exception of a mini skirt lining (it’s not even lined on the top) so it wasn’t my most practical purchase but i love the vintage slip peeking out on purpose. but i’m kinda shocked at how often i wear this belt. i got it on clearance at anthropologie for like $9 and it has been worth every penny. makes up for the impracticalย  dress. =)

I actually like the lime/teal combo…but totally laughed at your title before I even saw the pictures! ๐Ÿ™‚ I think our husbands would get along well since mine regularly shakes his head at some of my outfits!!

This really looks like it’s going along with the monochromatic trend. (teal & lime are in the same category right? close enough ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) Most of the ones I’ve seen are peachy or pink. And I don’t think I’ve worn that much pink since I was in grade school so I would definitely be more likely to wear something like this ๐Ÿ™‚

And at least your husband is straightforward haha. I’ll ask my bf what he thinks and he says “Yes! that looks fine! Can we go now!?” I could be wearing the most hideous outfit ever and he’d still say the same thing.

I’m never quite sure who to make use of sheer pieces so a dress? Forget it! Jen I think you did a fantastic job styling this piece, the vintage slip underneath gives it a delicate detail and I love that belt! $9 on sale at Anthro? Seriously?? I have never found any great deals at that store!

Beautiful. I knew you meant for the slip to show which is super sweet but funny that you had to say it. Hahaha. I need a sexy slip! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Love the lime dress!

I had the same problem with a F21 dress I just received – I should have paid more attention that it is completely sheer, but now I need to find the right slip to wear underneath it!

I really like the color of your dress and I don’t see how you could look like a lime but my husband makes comments like that too so I can relate.

I love this dress! You look amazing. Husband are awesome for saying the funniest things about clothes (I don’t always think you can trust it :). My husband says really generic things now because he has said too many funny things I tease him about.

Hahaha, don’t you love when the husbands weigh in? I always know that I’ve crossed a line when Levi says, “You look…fun.” Code: WHAT ARE YOU WEARING, YOU WEIRD WEIRD WOMAN.

I think this outfit looks great on you, though–you pull off the colors so well! They look great with your skin and hair…and $9 for that belt? Jealous!

I think my husband and your husband need to get together and compare style stories. I’m often on the receiving end of funny comments from my hubby regarding something about my outfit… Regardless, green looks lovely on you!
