well, friends…this is the first birchbox that i am not in love with. but in their defense, i am not a natural kind of girl…which was the theme this month. and i also just finally took the plunge and stopped using proactive so i am on a whole new skincare routine. i am using this book on the recommendation of one of my best friends and so far so good! don’t worry…i will be sharing the new routine soon in a separate post. =) i also got a duplicate product for the first time and it just so happened to be the perfume. as you know, i’m not a perfume girl either. BUT, i did get a new polish…so that is always fun. see below for details of what i got in this months box. but more importantly…you will want to scroll all the way down for exciting news about next months box!

juice beauty oil free moisturizer : nine times out of ten, moisturizers list water as one of their main ingredients. juice beauty’s oil-free hydrator is a standout exception to the rule. their active-packed formula is made with a powerful base of organic juices so that every single drop feeds your skin. full of antioxidants, it’s great for those with oily or blemish-prone skin since the lightweight formula won’t clog pores.

erno laszlo active phelityl soap: this cult brand’s moisturizing bar might look like soap, but that’s where the similarities end. while regular soaps can deplete your skin of much-needed moisture, erno laszlo’s bar works with—not against—your skin’s natural defense barriers. it’s designed to replenish dry complexions and balance your skin’s pH levels. if that’s not enough to convince you, know this: laszlo’s past and present list includes icons like audrey hepburn and madonna.

yes to blueberries brightening facial towelettes: made of 99 percent natural ingredients, these biodegradable towelettes are free of potentially harmful ingredients like petroleum and parabens. blueberry extracts are rich in high levels of vitamin C to even out your skin tone and defend against free radicals. antioxidant-rich apple extracts contain mild alpha hydroxy acids to whisk away all traces of makeup and grime, while lemon peel purifies skin.

harvey prince yogini perfume: the light, clean fragrance features top notes of purifying sandalwood, refreshing grapefruit, and sensual egyptian myrrh. subtle cues of golden amber, incense, and star jasmine turn each spritz into a mini aromatherapy break.

zoya true spring collection (bevin): each zoya shade goes on opaque with just one coat and lasts 50 percent longer than traditional polishes. and you’ll be glad to hear that the vegan-friendly formulas don’t contain formaldehyde, tuolene, camphor, and other toxic chemicals.

P.S. i heard a rumor that next months box is going to be “gossip girl” glamour inspired!!! now THAT is what i’m talkin’ about! none of this natural stuff…lol. there is still a wait list to subscribe to birchbox but you can sign up here to be notified when new subscriptions become available.

UPDATE: birchbox has reached out to me with an apology for the duplicate sample. just wanted to let you guys know so you aren’t worried that you will be receiving dupes. it was just an oversight. thanks birchbox! great customer service over there. xoxo

Bummer that this one wasn’t as good! I found myself forgetting about all those samples and/or not using half of them, so I didn’t resubscribe, but I still like seeing what you get – can’t wait to hear about the Gossip Girl box!

I cancelled my Birchbox when I moved just to avoid complication. I signed back up a couple weeks ago to re-up. Hopefully the list isn’t TOO long and I’ll make it for the GG box 🙂

I’m gonna wait until the GG box and cancel my sub. I’ve been debating for months. I really haven’t found anything that I love in the boxes and although I like to wear perfume, ENOUGH with the perfume samples! The sample they sent me BROKE this month so my box reeked. And while I do love to get nail polish, I already have a similar color so I will end up giving the polish to my sister.

awe what a bummer!! My birchbox was AMAZING this month I love it! I got the same polish and some taylor swift perfume but I got this mitt that you put on your hand and its like having a microdermabrasion facial and then I got this moisturizing facial pad you put on your whole face and I loved both !! Also another moisturizer and face wash each came with 3 sample sizes. Its funny because you never know what you are going to get! I think last month I didn’t love my box but this month made up for it! Also I got a Juice beauty product a few months back and I loved it so much I bought the full size!

I got the mitt, too, and it is amazing!!! Totally makes up for the crap perfume sample (I’m tired of those, too). I haven’t even really looked at the other items in the box. Maybe I should check them out. Even if I don’t use all of the items in my box every month, I still put those items away and use in gift bags throughout the year (I have a 14 year old daughter and she loves having little items to stick in with her friends’ birthday presents). I’ll be keeping my Birchbox subscription. Thanks Birchbox! GG box!?! Can’t wait to tell my daughter! How fun!

Such a bummer that the box wasn’t as good. But it is great that Birchbox reached out to you regarding the duplicate item. Can’t wait to read about your new skin care routine since moving to Texas my face has went crazy!

I got on the waiting list maybe two months ago after your review and got a message from them on the Thursday before Easter that a spot was open for me. Signed my wife up for a three month sub as a gift for Mother’s Day and they let me schedule the first box for early in May so I guess the GG box will be her first. She’s not much of a make-up girl, but I’m looking forward to the other body-care products that she might get to try out.

Oh, and one other thing… Ladies, make sure you check the BirchBox site out, because they just launched a Men’s box… could be a great Father’s Day gift for your fella!

I love the blueberry towelettes I usually use those or the Burt’s Bees ones to remove my make-up. I have been wanting to try Zoya polish!

Well….you know that I was again not in love my box this month! I like the nail polish you received and may hold on just one more month for the gossip girl inspired box. This month you know that I got an exfoliating mitt…yup it’s was lame!

My first box. I found it underwhelming, so hope others are better. Glad to hear you have enjoyed others so there’s hope. 🙂

I found my first box very disappointing. I am not sure I want to re-order. I don’t even think it was worth $10
