have you ever wished you could have your own stylist? well, now you can…and the best part…it’s free!!! i know…i couldn’t believe it either! whether you need help updating your current wardrobe, styling for a specific event or just don’t have time to shop…tog & porter is here for you. it is super easy…set an appointment and get assigned a stylist, arrange a skype session (or phone call if you prefer) to discuss your goals, receive your box of clothes and keep what you want (and send back what you don’t). all you pay for are the clothes you keep and a $10 flat rate for shipping. ladies…you are going to love this.

i’m wearing: collective concepts tunic (chosen by tog & porter stylist), hudson jeans, steve madden pumps, asos belt, jcrew necklace, various bracelets and michael kors watch. my nail polish in all photos is “back to the fuchsia” by sally hansen.

i was assigned with maureen (my stylist) and i just loved her instantly. it literally felt like i was talking to one of my girlfriends. during our skype session, we discussed what i like & don’t like, what my closet is lacking and what i would like help with. i decided that i wanted to add layering pieces to my closet and more prints. she nailed it with this green & navy tunic. i LOVED this top and kept it. the colors are fabulous, no?!?!

i’m wearing: line & dot sequined tank (chosen by tog & porter stylist), express editor pants, LOFT bracelet, f21 necklace, michael kors watch and handbag with a vintage ring.

i mentioned to maureen that i wanted to add more pastels to my closet for spring so she chose this sequined tank. at first i wasn’t in love with it. and then the more i looked at it, the more it grew on me. this was my husbands favorite top. this outfit is something i would have worn to the office (with a blazer or cardigan of course). maureen suggested it with my mint green skinnies and nude pumps which sounded FAB but when i tried it on…something was just off. so i returned it. but i’m still thinking about it. lol

i’m wearing: ellison tunic (chosen by tog & porter stylist), free people jeans, steve madden boots, f21 stacked ring, f21 spike bracelet, tag heur watch, bauble bar beaded bracelet and necklace is from shopbop (forgot the designer).

i told maureen that i needed more clothes that i could really wear every day to playdates as well as to lunch or run errands in. this tunic is perfect. for some reason in the pics, it looks like a weird psychedelic print but it is striped. i chose to wear it out & blousy so i could move around with eep (my son…eep is his nickname for any newbies) and not have to worry about my muffin top! i love that it can also be dressed up and i can’t wait to do some pattern mixing with this shirt. it is a keeper.

i’m wearing: daniel rainn coral ruffled sleeve tank (chosen by tog & porter stylist), jason wu for target pleated skirt and satchel, steve madden pumps (that TOTALLY match my satchel…one of my bff’s just gave them to me a couple weeks ago…it was destiny!), house of harlow double sunburst necklace, f21 ring and michael kors watch.

ok, i LOVED the color of this tank. and it is very feminine which i like, but the drapy front kept creasing in-between my b**bs so it drove me nuts. i DO love how this pop of color really makes me look like i have a slight tan!!! but, it had to go back. but can we talk about my bag & shoes for a second….i am over the moon that they match identically. one of my bff’s gave me the shoes a couple weeks ago and then i picked up this satchel from the jason wu for target collection…so fun!!!

i’m wearing: collective concepts draped blazer (chosen by tog & porter stylist), CAbi tank, h&m pants, bcbg pumps, target neon clutch, f21 chain necklace, modcloth chain bracelet and michael kors watch.

i swore i would never wear blazers again after quitting my office job. um, until now. i am OBSESSED with this cropped blazer. this is my absolute FAVE piece from my box. i can NOT wait to wear it again and again!

THE VERDICT:

what i loved: you provide your stylist with your budget so they make sure to buy pieces that you really would buy for yourself. and the prices are right on the invoice so you know exactly  how much each item is. super easy process. all in all, just a fun experience!

what i didn’t: would have liked to have received more than just tops in my first box.

would i recommend this service: absolutely. you have nothing to lose!

click here to learn more about tog & porter. you can also follow tog & porter on twitter and pinterest. enjoy!

p.s. i also wanted to mention that tog & porter can style you from head to toe…meaning they will not only choose clothes for you but they can also provide you with shoes and accessories. i chose clothing only since i have accessories coming out of my ears. =)

disclosure: tog & porter gifted me the items that i kept. all opinions are my own.

That is so fun! I love the tunic and the blazer in the last look. So fun! The coral blouse is a gorgeous color but if it is too revealing, I’d definitely send it back!

Thank you for introducing me to Tog & Porter through this post. I had heard of Cake Stlye (although never tried). After seeing the great choices and reading about your experience, this service is worth checking out! I especially like the cropped blazer and green/navy tunic, and you look great in all the pieces!

This is great! I’ve tried Stitch Fix and found it was pretty cool – I only ended up keep one item from them. I like how Tog & Porter really gets to know you better than the simple Stitch Fix survey, though. However, Stitch Fix is free shipping both ways, and their styling cost ($20) goes on your account as a credit for any items you keep – so it basically is a free service besides what you buy!

I may need to give Tog & Porter a try, though! 🙂 Thanks for all the info!

Really cool post- you did so many OOTD posts under one, I love it. The favorite for me was the last one – the blazer! I wear blazers to work all the time and it was hard for me to transition them into my weekend wear, but I love them now. 🙂 The green tunic is another one of my favorites.
Not sure I’d sign up for something like this because I love hunting around for my own pieces, but I definitely see the incentive for others who don’t like / or have time to shop around.
