you guys…i am really bad. i found a way to cheat and see what is coming in my birchbox before it comes!! totally ruins the surprise but i can’t help myself! here is what i got this month:

juicy couture perfumewhat they say: top notes of watermelon, passion fruit, and mandarin combine with bright whiffs of marigold and green apple. rose, vanilla, and yummy caramel undertones anchor the scent. what i say: it has been a LONG time since i bought perfume. the last one i bought was probably at least five years ago (nanette lepor). i rarely wear perfume, although i would like to more often. it usually gives me a headache by the end of the day though. i actually liked this perfume. to me it smelled more like gardenias. i won’t be running out to buy it, but i will use this sample. maybe. =)

origins checks & balance face washwhat they say: this creamy cleanser is a veritable plant powerhouse. broad leaf kelp banishes excess oil, while wheat protein nourishes dry zones. water-activated tourmaline whisks away dirt and makeup, and an essential oil blend of bergamot, lavender, and spearmint adds a refreshing touch. skin is left smoother and more even-toned. what i say: i have been playing around with too many new lotions, washes, magic potions, etc. so i have not tried this yet. my face is really broken out right now so i don’t want to mess with it. have you tried it?

stila smudge stick eyelinerwhat they say: maximum pigment and minimum fuss. each smooth, creamy liner goes on easily and won’t migrate all over your eyes. we love how the twist-up pencil allows for precise applications, no sharpeners required. what i say: this is my favorite item from my box. number one it is a full size product (valued at $20). number two, i rarely wear eyeliner but when i do, it is usually only black or brown and i haven’t had brown in years. i got “lionfish” and it is a beautiful bronzy brown color and goes on super smooth. will DEFINITELY use this. love.

archipelago pomegranate body soapwhat they say: this fragrant soap is packed with botanicals, including pomegranate extract. the ingredient has plenty of claims to fame, including its ability to repair cell damage and encourage collagen production. in addition, the formula has phase II enzyme boosters, which help to detoxify skin and neutralize free radicals. what i say: this smells DELICIOUS. i love this soap. and so did the bees. that’s what i get for taking my pics outside. =)

THE EXTRA: larabar in blueberry muffin – what they say: each bar has nine ingredients max, and you’ll love the wholesome blends of dried fruits, nuts, and spices. there are no icky additives like high fructose corn syrup, and they’re vegan-friendly too.  what i say: i just tried the cherry pie flavor from my influenster box. i much prefer the cherry flavor over the blueberry muffin. i don’t care for cashews and this bar is made with them. not my fave.

have you joined birchbox yet? it is only $10/mo and getting this cute package every month is so worth it to me. click here to join.

We got the same box! Except my Larabar was Carrot Cake. I LOVE the pomegrante soap. It smells soooooo good. I tried the face wash and love that just a little bit was all I needed (it IS super foamy) but the next day, I broke out with two zits. I don’t breakout except for one zit the week before I get my period…and it’s not that week. So I wonder if it’s the face wash.

I was thinking that bee looked so real! Not sure if I would want to wear something that attracts them though!

I have used Origins Checks & Balances facewash and its great for my oily skin. In the winter I become comination and get some dry spots and the face wash evens it all out. Great stuff!

I haven’t tried birchbox because I have such sensitive skin that I am scared to see what the products do to my face. I would definitely try the smudge stick.

Great box! I love the January Birchboxes. Mine was totally different. The favorite item in my box was a Zoya nail polish called Megan. Really pretty lavender/gray color.

I love reading what other gals get in their boxes!

    Cheers!

My birch box was pretty awesome this month. I got an generous size (12ml vs 30ml $80 bottle) YMV eye serum, Befine night cream, the Stila eyeliner, a viva la Juicy perfume sample and a tiny packet of wichcraft granola. The only bummer about it was that the eyeliner is in “blue ribbon” and I have hazel eyes, so I doubt it will look good on me. I’m loving the eye serum and the night cream though and it’s like they read my mind as those are the two products I’m in the market for.

My Larabar was peanut butter and I spit it out hahaha. And. My eyeliner is PURPLE. Who wears purple eyeliner?! Sigh.
