sorry i am so late doing my birchbox review this month! with eep being sick, i haven’t had time to try out my products as fast as i normally do. and christmas feels like it has just crept up on me. i am SO behind this year!!! i SWEAR next year i am making and mailing my xmas cards like the FIRST week in december…lol. i think i say that every year. pfsshhh. oh well! so back to my birchbox…her’s what i got this month:

jouer moisturizing lip gloss in “birchbox pink” – what they say: this gorgeous gloss conquers both dry lips and ho-hum style in a single, shimmery swoop. the shades may look pigmented but they go on sheer, and the ultra-shiny finish makes lips look fuller. what i say: as you know i am not a big lipgloss fan but i DO love the jouer lip enhancer and i LOVE the color so it’s a keeper.

showstoppers designer fashion tape – what they say: keep peekaboo bra straps and rebellious hems in check with these double-sided fashion tape strips. a secret tool in every celeb stylist’s arsenal, they stop the big reveal before it happens. we keep a pack of these strips in our desk drawer at all times. think of them as your wardrobe’s little helpers. what i say: when i first saw these, i thought their only use was for making sure deep v neck/low cut tops don’t blow open in the wind or when you bend over…but i never thought about the bra strap issue! i DO have a few tops that drive me nuts when my bra straps show so i am excited to give these a try. i did also just buy this that will probably require these. the good news is the top isn’t quite as low cut on me as it is on the model so i am hopeful that it doesn’t sit in the back of my closet forever. it reminded me of this red short suit so i HAD to have it.

benefit; the porefessional – what they say: of all the beauty minefields out there, visible pores are one of the trickiest to dodge. foundation alone doesn’t do the trick, which is why we turn to this translucent balm to shrink our pores. we can use it as a primer in the mornings or as a touch-up treatment throughout the day. perfect t-zone, here we come. what i say: i JUST bought the laura gellar tinted primer last month, but this stuff is pretty amazing too. i will definitely use this product.

olie biologique huile moderne – what they say: if we had to pare our fancy skincare products down to a single product, this eco-savvy face and body oil would be a smart pick. formulated with five 100 percent USDA-certified organic oils and vitamin E, the light but nourishing formula works on dry and oily skin alike. a couple drops smooths over fine lines and protects against environmental damage. what i say: i haven’t tried this on my face yet. most products i buy for my face are oil free so i am a little weirded out by slathering oil on my face. i did put it on my backs of my hands because they are SO dry and it didn’t seem too oily. and the scent is very spa-like so my husband likes it…lol.

harvey prince yogini fragrance – what they say: take a deep breath and relax with this sophisticated scent, which helps us tap into our inner new age gurus. harvey prince designed the mood-elevating blend of exotic essences and oils to counteract stress and keep us zen throughout the day. it’s the fragrance equivalent of yoga class. what i say: i am not a huge perfume fan. period. smelling the same fragrance all day tends to give me a bit of a headache. this perfume has a sandalwood-ish smell to it. not my favorite perfume but definitely not bad either.

eboost orange natural energy booster – what they say: these fizzy energy packets will bring out your inner energizer bunny. loaded with vitamins, minerals, and a dose of natural caffeine, they dissolve in water to create a tasty orange tonic. what i say: this came at THE perfect time. eep got all of us sick so now i am wishing i had a case of these!
