i am wearing: cream h&m dress, f21 necklace, black express leggings and brown michael kors boots.

friday night was girls night out. it had been FOREVER since i had gone out with the girls. it was supposed to be the six of us but ended up only being the three of us. i have been best friends with these girls since high school (1991 to be exact). we have been friends as long as some of the girls out at this restaurant have been alive. i had a moment when we were piled into the restroom when i noticed all of the girls looked like they were twelve years old to me. and then i remembered when i was their age and saw “ladies” my age out at bars. i distinctly remember us saying, “what are they doing out at bars at that age”??? and now i know. they were just some ladies that have been friends for YEARS having a MUCH needed night out on the town. and i thought to myself…i wouldn’t trade my age for theirs for anything. i LOVE my old lady status. and coming home to my family even more.

p.s. i don’t love that i am now hungover after two drinks.

Haha – this is SO true! I have become a total lightweight in my old age…what’s up with that?! I haven’t had a girls’ night in a long time – looks like you had fun 🙂

love this post… you are SO right. I hate the fact that they all look like they’re in Jr. High and are trying so hard to be grown up, and love how much I can appreciate my nights out more than ever in my life. 🙂

PS, can WE please have a girls night?? Like, in the next year? Thanks.

You girls look gorgeous! Wish I would have known you were at Jimmy O’s – Brett and I were across the street at the Plaza. Would have been fun to meet up with you gals for a drink! Old ladies night needs to happen more often for sure!
