to be honest i am not that much of a diy’er. my projects never turn out like the tutorials i use and i get impatient and end up doing them in a hurry just to get them off of my list of things to do. but i have been admiring everyone’s hex nut bracelets lately and almost paid $20+ for one in an etsy shop just to avoid doing it myself. on my first try i had my mom holding the braided end and for some reason i kept messing up. it was much easier to just hold the bracelet between my knees and braid it myself. i used this tutorial and chose to use leather instead of the twine suggested. i think it turned out ok. now i just need to find a better way to clasp it since tying the leather strings into a knot makes too big of a knot. oh well, add that to my list of things to do.

p.s. i am wearing “star of the party” by nicole for opi nail polish.

I’ve been dying to try that necklace and just haven’t got around to it. I suppose the idea of going to home depot to by the… hexes(?) seems dreadful. haha I love how you used the leather, though! It turned out great!

You do the BEST home manicures…seriously, you need to do a tutorial on how to paint nails without jacking them all up! : )

LOVE the polish color, just added to my list of must haves! Your bracelet looks great too. I always want to make my own stuff, but never do because it usually doesn’t turn out right, but I might have to try this!

I saw this on Pinterest. It looks great! Might have to give it a try… not a diy-er too much myself, but ever so often, something is worth the time. <3 http://www.rubygirlblog.com

Love the watch, love the bracelet, and love the nail polish lol You did a good job… mine never come out the same as the tutorial either. I even watched 12 year old girls on YouTube do it better than I did.
