i am wearing: dress from urban outfitters, nordstrom t-strap heels, foley & corinna disco city bag, necklace from target, bracelets from h&m and stella & dot and my michael kors watch.

i think everyone knows by now that i LOVE mustard. so when i read that “yellow” won in the voting for everybody everywear, i was thrilled! if you follow me on twitter, you my have even seen me trying to get people voting for yellow. =) i wanted an excuse to buy a mustard dress a la olivia palermo. this was as close as i could find. and i don’t know if i love it. sometimes it sucks being tall(ish) because dresses are always short on me. i don’t mind if the dress is a thicker material but when it’s short and thin, i’m not as comfortable. and my husband thinks the shorter the better so i will never get a straight answer outta him! =) so i’m asking you guys…should i keep this or return it???

p.s. this dress was worn for these pics only.

I think it is so cute on you, but I know what you mean about the length issue – I struggle with that too…especially when you are bending down to talk to your kids (not good)!

Hi, I love your blog and you always look so lovely. I do love yellow and you can wear the colour, which can be hard, but I have definitely seen nicer dresses. I think return and hunt for something a bit more wearable? I know what you mean about the length too, I am the same, only 5’7 which isn’t really tall but often dresses are just too short without tights or leggings. Mind you, I live in Nottingham, England so 9 months a year this isn’t a problem!!xx

I think you look fantastic but if you’re not comfortable in it, will you wear it often enough to make it worth it?

I do love it. Would you get enough use out of it for date nights?

I think it’s precious on you and would be great with jeans in the fall. Even though I’m on the opposite end of the height spectrum from you I know what you mean. Even as petite as I am, some of the dresses I’ve tried this summer are just not practical for taking care of a 1 yr old.

It’s a good thing you like that color because it looks AH-mazing on you 😛 I love that shade of yellow but I feel like it doesn’t work with darker hair. I can do pale yellow though 😛

I say keep! I think it looks fabulous on you, especially paired with that gorgeous necklace. It’s very ‘California’ to me. (and a big hello to San Diego County, from a former life-long San Diego girl relocated to The South. I miss my hometown enormously.

I say return it. It looks cute in the pictures, but it’s a little too short for real life. Urban Outfitters stuff is usually too short on me, too – and I’m not even that tall.

You look amazing! That color is so pretty and perfect with your necklace, which I LOVE! Your dress can easily be winterized by layering it when the weather changes. Thank you for your sweet comments. Please stop by again:-)

Where did your turban post go??? I LOVED it! You did NOT look like Rosie the Riveter. You looked chic and right on trend! Oh, and your up-close face shots look like you belong in a magazine. Seriously, you’re gorj!

You look gorgeous and you have legs for days – so jealous! (JK – well not really) I love the color and the cut. I say keep it, because it is gorgeous on you. And you could wear it only on hubby dates – just and idea! But if you really are not comfortable, return it. Life is too short to buy clothes that don’t make you feel awesome! Cheers!

Ha, ha … I wore ‘mustard’ too. What is the difference between yellow & mustard anyway? Just dropping from EBEW …

Maybe it would be better belted? Your pretty figure is lost in it. I think it has a great color but it’s not just a dress you can throw on and “go” in, it needs to be accessorized…that can be annoying sometimes.
