i am wearing: frankie b jeans, white v-neck tee from target, black jeweled cardigan from jcrew, rhinestone necklace from f21, star ling cork heels and i bought the green beaded bracelet at the womens expo in del mar.
if you follow me on twitter, then you may already know about the problem i am having with my shedding hair. i expected to lose hair after having my son but what i did NOT know is that i would have insane bushes of “baby hair” on each side of my head. i am paranoid that the rest of my bangs are going to fall out and all i will have are “bushes” for bangs. soooooo, i wore my hair down since it looks awful pulled back now =( also if you are not on pinterest yet…maybe don’t do it. i have lost hours of time because of it. if you still want to join, leave your email in the comments and i will send you an invite. i found this pic of olivia (one of my style icons btw) on there and knew this was a look i had to re-create. i was on the fence about buying the rhinestone necklace i am wearing because it felt a little too prom-ish but i think it worked. what do you think???

I lost so much hair after my 2nd, I was starting to think there was something more going on. It took a long time for it to grow back in and I had these “bald spots” on the sides by my forehead. Taking lots of vitamins helps…but I know what you mean about not being able to wear it back! Don’t worry – it gets better!!

I ADORE this Olivia look and want to recreate it myself! Your version is GREAT… such a simple and classy look. I feel like my hair has never stopped falling out after kids… it does slow down though. Trust.

Hey girl! I had the SAME problem after the birth of both my kids. My hair has thinned out SO much since. I SWEAR by the Matrix Vavoom Freezing Spray: http://amzn.to/ioYjH5 . I’ve used this for years. My hair falling out problem was SO bad that I couldn’t wear it up or down without baby hairs sticking out all over the place. This was the ONLY thing that would hold my baby hairs down along with the rest of the bangs that still remained.
The best thing about this freezing spray is that it’s not stiff! My hair didn’t look like I’d plastered it with freezing spray. lol. I still use it and buy it in threes when it goes on sale at Ulta. Haha. I still use it now. I’ve started wearing my hair up and back with a headband and this takes care of the baby hairs that want to stick up in the front. OMG, I cannot rave enough about this stuff! If you try it, let me know what you think!

Oh yeah, I meant to explain that when I use it, I spray it over my head and then use my hand to smooth the baby hairs down and blend them in with the rest of my hair. I don’t have to touch up at all the rest of the day.
And I just noticed the ‘recently posted’ link in your comments – how cool! I need some WordPress tips from you!

I remember that stage, I looked as though I had a receding hairline! Colored dry shampoo helped a lot with not just covering up the sparse parts but also keeping the baby hairs sort of attached to the longer hairs for a smoother look.
You look fantastic, and a great interpretation of Olivia’s look!

Ugh with the hair loss after baby! I felt like surely I was going to lose all of my hair after Levi was born. It was everywhere. I couldn’t sweep our floors fast enough to keep up!
Love the outfit (even the “prom” necklace) but whatsherface is just terrible. How could anyone be so mean to that sweet Whitney?!

Love the outfit! Jacket really suits you well! I was thinking of making a blog like yours… a fashion sort of blog for the stay at home mom who lost touch with her sexy side.. ha ha… but I decided to create a more “lifestyle” blog. (If that makes sense?)
Love your ideas!
