these are the oldest shoes i have in my closet…circa 1993. i got them at a little tiny stand that used to be on garnet in pacific beach, ca. i never wear them but i loved them so much back then that i kept them.

this weeks FBFF topic is “SHOES”!!!

1. What is your go-to pair of shoes? lately it has been my seychelles cut-out wedges for dressing up but i can usually be found in flip flops when staying close to home. although since starting this blog, the more i see myself in flip flops, the more i realize how unattractive i look in them. like they really are not cute on me. i took pics today to prove it but will share them with you next week. maybe…i may just have to crop out my feet…lol.

2. What goes into your shoe buying decisions? it used to be the higher the better but now i like stylish yet COMFORTABLE. i have a pair of tan michael kors wooden heels that i HAD to have a few years ago and if i even try them on, it feels like i am walking on shards of glass with bone spurs. i mean the balls of my feet are on fire instantly. it is awful…i really cannot even believe how uncomfortable they are and they were pricey!

3. The majority of the shoes in your closet are what color? i’m gonna have to say nude or tan. i need to add more chocolate brown shoes to my closet. and color…i could use more color in the shoe department for sure. don’t let my yellow pumps fool you!

4. When it comes to designer shoes what are your favorite brands and why? i don’t really have a lot of high end designer shoes. most of my shoes are steve madden. they are pretty comfortable and affordable!

5. If price wasn’t an issue, you’d own which shoe? if i could own only one pair of shoes and price didn’t matter, it would definitely be the christian louboutin nude platform pumps!!! i need to add them to my fashion bucket list. i would like to own just one pair in my lifetime. although i am pretty happy to say that i do own a pair of manolo blahniks and even though they are refurbished…they are in my closet and that is all that matters =)

p.s. don’t forget to stop by modlychic to see how others answered this weeks questions!

You need to add more color and I need to add more neutrals! I really want some nude pumps! They never appealed to me until I started seeing all these cute classic designs the past few months and I’m dying for a pair!! With all this talk of shoes, I’m definitely going shopping this weekend!

I love that you kept the 1993 shoes. That is awesome.

I just can’t believe I used to wear 5 inch heels to go sightseeing in my younger days. Can we just say FAIL!!? LOL

I love those clogs from the 90’s! I think it is so fun to keep a few pairs of favorite shoes around.
Are you still in the SD area? We go to church in PB. 🙂 It’s a great place to live.
