i am wearing an eyelet top from anthropologie, black ruffle dress from target, floppy hat from jcrew and the lipstick is spellbound by covergirl.

i went a little crazy and tried two new looks at once. if you follow me on twitter then you probably already heard what my husband thought of the lipstick (um, he said i looked like the joker). i will admit that it is like the EXACT shade that my grandma (LOVE you grandma) used to always wear. but i wanted to try a bright lipstick for spring and then i just got so excited that i pulled out my new floppy hat to wear with it. i don’t tan anymore (literally…for some reason as i’ve gotten older i just burn and wrinkle now) so this hat is perfect for spring and summer. now i have to work up the courage to find a new bathing suit. thank gawd there are some gorgeous one pieces in style!

I just found your blog through Domesticate Sophisticate and I really like your style! I must say though that I have a tough time reading your outfit info because the pink font is so light. In fact, even the “black” font is light. I don’t have this happen with other blogs so I know it’s not a problem with my screen. Can you use a darker font for easier reading? Have others had any problems with this or is it just me? 🙂

I LOVE the hot pink lipstick on you. It’s absolutely gorgeous. You can wear anything, girl. I swear! And I have GOT to find an affordable floppy hat. At 27, I’m already suffering from discoloration and some pre-cancerous spots. Dagnabbit for being stupid in my youth.

Really? He didn’t like it? Cause in the photos I must say you look like a model. I love the combo. The outfit looks very cute too from what we can see. I bought 3 floppy hats for the spring/summer. Can’t wait to wear them. I am always weary of trying bright lipsticks as well. So out of my comfort zone. The farthest I go is buy bright lip glosses.

I LOVE the floppy hat and fuschia lips on you! Though I could never pull it off, you do it so flawlessly. You look so fancy rich housewife-ish. 🙂
