oh.my.goodness! this picture melts my heart. it is eepy’s little shoulders and neck…love. his shirt says “lock up your daughters” on the front…so cute. once again, nothing to do with FBFF but i just downloaded this and heart it.

this weeks FBFF topic is GRATITUDE. i have only been participating for a few weeks now but this friday marks the one year anniversary of FBFF! i am thrilled to be a part of it!

“We each have so many people in our lives and in the blogging community who have helped us along the way. It’s time to shine the spotlight on them and give credit where credit is due”. ~ Katy, Modlychic

1.  When it comes to me personally – I owe a lot of who I am to:

my parents for giving me the freedom to be me. there isn’t anything that i ever thought i couldn’t do because i knew my mom more than anyone supported me in any decision i ever made. even when i chose to move 3000 miles away to NYC, she was my biggest supporter. i also would have to say my grandmother ruth, since i think i am exactly like her. and i am proud of it!

2. When it comes to me professionally – I owe a lot of who I am to:

i have an extremely strong work ethic. in fact, i struggled during my whole career in the financial services industry because people didn’t meet my expectations…often. i am not sure where this comes from. i have had managing directors/partners recruit me when they changed firms and even offer me more money to stay when i decided to leave. i am very proud of this. totally tooting my own horn here.

3. When it comes to the art of blogging, I’m grateful to these people for helping me through some rough spots:

there are so many people to thank! but i am going to start with dana from the broke ass bride. she has helped me out on numerous occasions when i was promoting giveaways on my other blog by sharing them with the broke ass brigade!!! and just today this blogger and this blogger helped me out when i was having trouble with a plug-in on my blog. honestly…i love twitter and the blogging community.

4. One blogging challenge I’m grateful happened because it made me stronger was

well, mine is a different kind of challenge. i haven’t had anything too challenging happen yet (knock on wood) so i would like to take this time to thank kendi for challenging me to do the 30 for 30 remix. i’d also like to thank katy for starting FBFF. i am a stay at home mom so blogging is my “me time” that i spend on myself and i really do look forward to these weekly conversations with all of you fabulous bloggers out there!

5. To my readers, I’d like to say

thank you THANK YOU thank you. i know everyone says this but your comments REALLY do make my day. i LOVE hearing your opinions and appreciate SO much the time you take out of your busy schedule to leave me some blog love.

Well, I feel all moved seing the picture of your child, and even more moved feeling your love for him jumping off the page. Beautiful.

I love your answers, and I share your sentiment on the amazing community feeling that is the bloggersphere. Twitter is a very helpful tool indeed, I felt silly getting my profile up a few months back (in Norway not that many people use twitter), but now I am on there all the time, and loving it.

    Happy friday to you!

Great post. Hey, I am from the ‘Financial Services Insdustry’ as well.
And your expectations from others hit home with my early on challanges at work as well.
