me on my wedding day. i did my own makeup and painted my own nails in the limo on the way to the venue. clear of course.

1. What’s your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher-end product? my favorite drug store makeup is loreal voluminous extra volume collagen mascara and my favorite higher end makeup is my bare escentuals bareminerals concealer.

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can’t live without? mascara has always been my must-have but more and more it is my concealers (notice that is plural). my goal is to look like this. i am not kidding. it is better than my bags & dark circles.

3. What’s the best hair product you’ve ever used? i have used infusium leave-in conditioner and bed head’s “ego boost” leave in conditioner pretty much since high school (and that is a LONG time folks) so i want to say one of those but product wise i will have to say bed head’s “hard to get”. it is a texturizing paste that i lightly smooth on my hair and just a tiny bit goes a long way. it makes your hair kinda piece-y but not sticky. love it.

4. Fess up, what’s the worst beauty look you’ve tried to rock and look back at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that? the first thing that comes to mind is when i bought my first trio of eyeshadows when i was a teenager. three glorious shades of purple. i had no idea what i was doing so i thought i had to reapply like every hour. i was a hot mess i’m sure. or it could have been when EVERY single one of my girlfriends in highschool (me included) all wore the same color of red lipstick. certainly red by revlon. in all of our pics we had the same color lips. hi-larious.

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality? i kinda have a very simple makeup routine. powder, concealer, mascara and lipstick. the same shade of lipstick i have worn since i can remember. pale nude-ish pink. i plan on changing that very soon. maybe. anyone who knows me knows that i  have had this lipstick and similar color polish on my toes for EVER. so i guess that is my signature look.

I totally agree with you especially on question 2 I can not live without my mascara, it’s just like American Express you can’t leave home without it.

Totally agree that mascara is a beauty MUST! Love too that you did your own make-up for your wedding day – a girl after my own heart – I totally mean to do that too.

There’s nothing wrong with having sometimes that is your signature look! I’m all over the place, I don’t think I really have signature.

I agree with you on the mascara 🙂

Woman, you are one stunning lady!!! We have a similar routine and I love my bare escentuals concealer, too! I’m a L’Oreal Voluminous user, as well! 🙂

Ha, something about motherhood makes you need more concealer (I think it’s the lack of sleep). I need to decide whether to replace my bare escentuals, it’s such a great product.

Major props for doing your own makeup on your wedding day!!! I considered it, then realized I do everyone else’s for their weddings, I wanted a break, and I’m an emotional wreck on any given day, so I would have burst into tears if I messed up my eyeliner!
And I completely agree on Question 2: mascara is a HUGE MUST! By the way, your lashes are gorgeous! Always show those off 🙂

Lovely to “meet” you here – I’m so with you on concealer – without it I’m a shocker!
