this weeks friend friday topic is “finding the balance”. i struggle with this often because i rarely get uninterrupted time to just play on my blog since i have a 5 month old. when my husband gets home from work, i just want some free time to myself so i can work on my blog and visit others, etc. but i also have to remind myself that family time is more important. here are my responses to this weeks questions.

1. When it comes to prioritizing your life, in what place does blogging fall? family first and then blogging. i am a new mom so i get to blog whenever my son is napping or when both my husband and eep go to bed at night (i also always have my iphone close by so i check into twitter often). i am at that stage where i am excited to blog and can’t wait to post each day!

2. We all wish we had more free time to dedicate to blogging and all it entails. What are your tricks for taking advantage of the time you do have to be as productive as possible? i start blog posts & upload pictures whenever i have free time so i can just go back to them and finish up whenever i can.

3. Have you discovered any short-cuts that makes blogging easier or more time efficient? i have utilized the scheduled posts so if i am traveling or not going to be near a computer, i can arrange for a blog post in the future.

4. Do you have an editorial calendar or something similar that helps you plan ahead? i leave the book in the picture above on my nightstand so whenever i have an idea for a blog post, i write it down. you have no idea how many times i think of a great idea and then three minutes later i can’t for the life of me remember. i would love to get the editor though!

5. If time wasn’t an issue what you would be doing on your blog/for your blog that you aren’t doing now? i would LOVE to do ootd posts every day but sometimes i just don’t have the time to get all ready and dressed up. i am looking forward to doing a blogger spotlight soon and would LOVE to do a clothing swap.

    Hi Jennifer

I love the photo you’ve attached to this post. So true.

I admire you for juggling a family with blogging. It’s hard enough juggling me and my blog.

    Have a great weekend.

First, I LOVE the new image in your header! Adorable!

I know what you mean about doing OOTD posts. I miss doing them. I’ve been investing my time into other blog projects but hope to be back soon!

Ah! Your new header is awesome! I’m so glad you got it to work! And I also love all of your answers. I can definitely relate, with being a mom and trying to blog when my daughter is asleep (and my husband is asleep or working, as well!), so it makes us very tired, but at least (hopefully) fulfilled mommas!

Hi Jen! Just ran into your blog, it’s admirable how good it is and that you manage to look so stylish and having a baby, and blogging, after reading your answers sounds so lovely how committed you are to your baby and find time to look fabulous, Congratulations!

OMG! I’m with everyone. The new header looks great! I’m also in love with your notebook in the picture above. Very inspiring!

Like you, I don”t have the time to OOTD everyday but it’s a work in progress. I think once we find our rhythm it’ll come eventually.

Great to see how other mums are managing their blogging. Of course family is top priority but my blogging is important for me as a bit of quiet me time, something all of us mums need.

I agree on doing OOTD posts, I never think I have enough time! Also, lol at the picture, I have the same type of thing on my FBFF post but mine says “keep calm and have a cupcake” 🙂

Great answers. Very similar to mine. Reading everyone’s I feel I should use my phone more often. I have a blackberry though and it takes forever to open up a website.
Will check out your blog a bit more. Always excited to find other mommy fashion bloggers.
